William G. "Bill" Kidwell - Sullivan

SULLIVAN – William G. "Bill" Kidwell, 92, of Sullivan passed away at 5:31 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 20, 2016) at Mason Point, Sullivan.
Celebration of life services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan, with Pastor Grant Wade officiating. Public Masonic rites will be conducted by the George A. Sentel Masonic Lodge 764 AF&AM. Military rites will be conducted by the Sullivan American Legion Post 68. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials are suggested to the Sullivan First Christian Church or to the Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences may be sent to the family at reedfuneralhome.net.
Bill was born Jan. 4, 1924, in Vayland, S.D., the son of George Oliver and Mary Marie Dazey Kidwell. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Bill had been the manager for Landers Seed Co. in Sullivan for 25 years and then was the manager for Tabor Seed Co. in Decatur for 16 years, retiring in 1988. Bill was a member of the Sullivan First Christian Church, George A. Sentel Masonic Lodge 764 AF&AM, Sullivan American Legion Post 68 and the Decatur Elks Club.
He married Evelyn L. Howard on March 11, 1945, in Bethany.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn of Sullivan; daughters, Connie (Rodger) England of Atwood and Cindy Kidwell of Sullivan; sons, Greg (Nancy) Kidwell of Melbourne, Fla., and Kent (Debbie) Kidwell of Sullivan; sisters, Genevieve Sutton, Midge Mills, Bernadine Casteel and Mary Lou Kidwell, all of Sullivan, and Patricia (Ray) Seale of Crawfordsville, Ind.; grandchildren, Grant Kidwell of Winter Park, Fla., Brandon (Dana) Kidwell of Kirkland, Wash., Camie (Jeff) Mead of Merritt Island, Fla., and Chris (Dana) England of Philo; and great-grandchildren, Allyson England, Michaela Kidwell and Peyton and Emma Mead.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Glen and sister Geneva Wilson.
