Brothers, Fall Reunion 2015 is only now 3 weeks away. As always...promises to be a great Reunion, great fellowship & great Degree work. By now most...if not all of you have received your copy of"ECHOES". In there you will find good articles, information, updates on the building progress, our schedule for Fall Reunion 2015 and activities scheduled for our Ladies.
This years Fall class will be named for the "Society of Past Masters"....with a special presentation of that recognition put on by Members of the Valley of Danville--AASR who are also Members of the "Eastern Illinois York Rite College # 81", an invitational York Rite body. It is a very good presentation & I'm sure you and the recognized Past Masters will reflect and enjoy.
There is also information included on a new fund-raising concept called the '32 Club'. I would encourage you to look at this. It's a new and very affordable way to help support the Valley initiatives & with options in which to do so.
Annual Dues can still be handled with payment options. Contact the Valley office at (217)-446-7620 and they can assist with that.
Additionally, in this recent copy of "ECHOES" ... I asked to try something new from a potential membership perspective. On the back page is a petition for Scottish Rite Degrees, meeting all requirements of the same. It picks up a little on the "one-to-one" concept of my last article in "ECHOES"& later republished on our Valley "FACEBOOK" site.
This idea and now in reality ...literally puts an approved petition right in the hands of every Scottish Rite Mason of the Valley of Danville -AASR who receive this publication. Legible copies can be made if needed. If we all asked just one Master Mason we know, who hasn't as yet enjoyed the "Scottish Rite Experience" & in becoming a 32nd Degree Mason...our number would double. Simple concept to be sure...but true ! Who knows best those Masons...but the Scottish Rite Masons in our Lodges. From our own Valley research...we know there are Master Masons out there in the Lodges, good standing that we serve within our Valley geographic area.
I would ask that you talk it up in your Lodge or Masonic gatherings leading up to Reunion and beyond while giving thought yourself of a worthy Master Mason who would enjoy the honor & fellowship in becoming a 32nd Degree Mason in the Valley of Danville--AASR.
We have some Member dinners in the works. There will be one scheduled in the north/ central part of the Valley in December 2015 & one scheduled in the west/ central part of the Valley in early February 2016. Our traveling Board Meeting will be in December, hosted by Star Lodge # 709 in Hoopeston, Illinois. I understand a dinner is planned at& meeting at . They will be debuting our 19th Degree DVD.
Be sure to visit our web-site at aasrdanville.org, check and "like" our "FACEBOOK" page and any questions feel free to contact the Valley office at (217)-446-7620 or (800) 917-2277. Additional petitions can be downloaded from the web-site or by request of the Valley office. There is good and timely information at both locations.
As always your review and consideration is most appreciated. We do sincerely appreciate the good work you do Brothers! We look forward to seeing you and our new candidates at Reunion . Thank-you !
