RANTOUL – Clifford Dean Burdette, 77, of Rantoul passed away on Saturday (April 11, 2015) at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
He was born Sept. 28, 1937, in Gifford, a son of Oscar and Etta (Hardin) Burdette. He married Alice Dryer on June 15, 1963, in Rantoul. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Greg (Rhonda Kirts) Burdette of Champaign and Kyle (Kim) Burdette of Gibson City; a daughter, Lynn (Ray Raulerson) Collins of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister, Donna of New York; a brother, Terry of Rantoul; and eight granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Dean worked at Furniture World in Rantoul since 1959.
He was a member of the Rantoul Masons, the Knights Templar Danville Consistory and the Eastern Star of Paxton. He enjoyed fishing and camping.
There will be a Memorial Celebration from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at The Linden, 224 W. Wheat Ave., Rantoul.
