HOLLY HILL, Fla. – Nyle Keith Willard, 80, formerly of Champaign-Urbana, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at home in Holly Hill, Fla.
He was born to Frank and Eunice Willard on Aug. 28, 1934, in Champaign, where he lived for 40 years before relocating to Alabama, then Florida.
Nyle was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the F&AM Urbana Lodge No. 157, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Danville, a past Ambassador at Large Morocco Temple Shrine Jacksonville, Fla., and past Treasurer of the Saint Augustine, Fla., Shrine Club.
He enjoyed music, cooking and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He held a long-term management career in the hospitality industry before retiring in 2006.
Nyle was extremely proud of sons, John K. Willard Sr. (Wanda) of Wadsworth and Peter Willard of Holly Hill, Fla.; daughters, Terry Cichon (Tim) of Griffith, Ind., and Marilee Evans (Leonard) of Lemont; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother, Ronald Willard (Sandy) of Fortville, Ind.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family is planning a private burial service in Urbana. Craig Funeral Home (www.craigfuneralhome.com) is assisting the family.
