TUSCOLA – Burleane F. "Bud" Weaver, 85, of Tuscola passed away at 11:40 p.m. Monday (May 26, 2014) at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, at the Tuscola Township Cemetery, with the Rev. Dennis Hanner officiating. Military rites and Masonic rites will be accorded at the cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 S. Main St., Tuscola.
Bud was born on Dec. 29, 1928, in Charleston, the son of Glenn and Nelle Mills Weaver. Bud married Norma Hickenbottom in February 1951. To this union were born his children: Mark, Brenda, Barb and Frank. He then married Gladys Irene "Flip" Loyd on July 21, 1976, in Tuscola. She preceded him in death on Dec. 29, 2005.
He married Joanne Winters on June 4, 2006, in Tuscola. She survives.
Other survivors include his son, Mark Weaver of Atwood; daughters, Brenda French of Lincoln and Barb Foster of Tuscola; seven grandchildren, Andy and Aaron Weaver, Kristen, Ashley and Alex French and Katie and Brittney Bollinger; 13 great-grandchildren; and brother, Glenn (Margaret) Weaver of Tuscola.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Frank Weaver; and brother, Bob Weaver.
Memorials are suggested to the Presence Covenant Hospice Unit.
Bud was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the National Guard for over 29 years, attaining the rank of master sergeant. He retired from the U.S Postal Service, where he worked in maintenance. Bud was a member of the Tuscola Masonic Lodge 332, AF&AM.
