PAXTON – Donald R. Muller, 70, of Paxton died at 2:39 p.m. Friday (Dec. 13, 2013) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells St., Paxton, with the Rev. Terry L. Westerfield officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Masonic Rites at 7:45 p.m.
Don was born July 27, 1943, in Kankakee, a son of Lial R. and I.L. Jacqueline Hall Muller. He married Susan Blanchet April 15, 1966, at the First United Methodist Church, Paxton. She survives.
Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Julia (Mike) Woolworth of Orrville, Ohio; a son, Michael (Brenda) Muller of Paxton; five grandchildren, Elliott, Emma and Ellanor Woolworth, Alex and Jonathan Muller; one great grandson, Hunter Shedd; two sisters, Jacki Muller of Idaho and Lori (Dean) Bailey of Vermilion and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Don graduated from Paxton High School in 1961. He owned and operated Muller Monument Co., Paxton. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Paxton, Paxton Masonic Lodge No. 416 A.F. & A.M., a Sir Knight of the Illinois Knights Templar Mount Olivet Commandery No. 38 and a friend of Bill W. for 33 years.
Don enjoyed guns, riding his motorcycle and working with his metal lathe.
