GIBSON CITY – Robert Ray Farris, 85, of Gibson City died at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 20, 2013) at Heritage Health in Gibson City.
His funeral will be at noon Monday, Nov. 25, at Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City with the Rev. John Tennyson officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday before the service. Burial will be in Drummer Township Cemetery in Gibson City.
Mr. Farris was born Feb. 25, 1928, in Champaign, a son of Jack and Lula Farris.
Surviving are a daughter, Barb (Perry) Comer of Gibson City; a son, Edward Farris; two granddaughters, Kelli Blake (Shae Kinzinger) of Gibson City and Beth (Jason) Corso of Huntley; and four great-grandchildren, Jordan Blake, Conner Kinzinger, Lucas Corso and Olivia Corso.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, JH Farris.
Bob was a retired farmer and school bus driver. He was a member of the Gibson City United Methodist Church, and the Gibson Masonic Lodge 0733 for over 30 years.
Memorials may be made to the Gibson Area Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
