DANVILLE – Warren Hall, 91, died Thursday, June 6, 2013 at North Logan Care Center of Danville.
There will be a visitation at Faith Baptist Church, 920 Warrington Ave., Danville, from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 10. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Allan Rudie officiating. Burial will be held at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Griffith, Ind., on Tuesday, June 11, at 11 a.m.
Warren was born Sept. 27, 1921, to Thomas and Caddie (Barker) Hall. He married Loretta Adams on Oct. 18, 1940. One child was born to this union. He later married Elizabeth Evans on Oct. 5, 1945 in Crown Point, Ind. One child was born to this union. She preceded him in death in 1995.
He is survived by his two daughters, Sherry Rae (Joseph) Ballard of Cleveland, Ohio, and Pamela Timmons of Tulsa, Okla.; and two step-children, Melvin (Vivian) Hall of Rensselaer, Ind.; and Phyllis (Tony) Martinez of Bremerton, Fla. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, leaving three remaining.
Warren served in the National Guard from 1939-1940. He was a lifetime owner and operator of his own excavating business. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge F.&A.M. No. 725 in Griffith, Ind.
He enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, any physical activities, and was quite the conversationalist.
