There will be a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday with a funeral service at 7 p.m. at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 E. Grove Ave., Rantoul.
Ralph was born Jan. 4, 1931, in Fisher, a son of Ralph Clinger Potts Sr. and Anna (Vaughn) Potts. He married Beverly Ann Keefe on Jan. 5, 1957, in Paxton. She preceded him in death on Augu. 30, 2007.
He is survived by a daughter, Peggy Ann Mowers of Kirkland, Ill.; two sons, Dutch (Beverly Ann) Potts of Rantoul and Wm. "Gus" (Janelle) Potts of Mansfield; and five grandchildren, David Mowers, Allen Mowers, Chad Potts, Mason Potts and Madisyn Potts.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Ralph worked at Power Equipment Company in Urbana as a parts manager for 46 years. He was a member for more than 60 years of the Free Masonry Lodge, where he was a 32nd degree as well as past master and he sat on the Grand Lodge of the state of Illinois.
He loved and played the game of golf for many years. He sang in the barbershop quartet. He was an avid bridge and euchre player. He attended the Countryside United Methodist Church in Sidney, and he loved to sing in the choir throughout his years.
Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial bench to be set at the Lake of the Woods Golf Course
