Frank Styer III - Potomac Lodge

DANVILLE — Frank Styer III, 70, of Danville, passed away at 5:47 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2012, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center.

Frank was born on Aug. 30, 1941, in Danville, the son of Frank and Opal (Hansbrough) Styer Jr.

Frank married Linda Holycross in 1958 in Danville. She survives.

He is survived by his stepmother, Delores Styer; two daughters, Lisa (Scott) Boggess, of Danville, and Kelly Asmar, of Danville; one brother, Greg Styer, of Tilton; two sisters, Bev Pickett, of Georgetown, and Cindy (Mike) Montgerard, of Danville; five grandchildren, Kali (Ryan) Stitt, Chasity (Phillip) Myers, Amber (Justin) Styer, Tiffany Styer, Michael (Lindsey) Boggess; and seven great-grandchildren, Lexi, Lane, Landon, Brooklyn, Bryson, Braxton and Noah.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Frankie Styer; and one daughter, Deena Styer.

Frank graduated from Danville High and began his work as a millwright in the Carpenters Local 269, where he retired in 1983. He was a member of the Potomac Lodge 782, where he was a 32 Degree Mason and member of the Gao Grotto. He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with friends and family.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville, with Pastor James Blue officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at 8 p.m. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.

Memorials can be made in Frank’s name to the Gao Grotto of Danville.
