BELLFLOWER – William John Fosnaugh, 82, of Bellflower died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday (April 21, 2012) at the Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System, Danville.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Private family graveside service will be at a later date at Bellflower Township Cemetery, Bellflower. There will be no visitation. Memorials should be sent to Bellflower United Methodist Church, Bellflower, Ill. 61724 or to an organization of the donor's choice. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Fosnaugh was born Oct. 31, 1929, in Bellflower, the son of Charles and Myrtle Boley Fosnaugh. He married Margaret Leonard on Dec. 13, 1971. She died in 1993.
Surviving is a stepdaughter, Lynnette Decker of Rantoul, and eight nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Maxine, Florence, and Beulah; and two brothers, Lester and Chester.
Mr. Fosnaugh graduated from Bellflower Grade and High School and Illinois Commercial College in Champaign. He served in the U.S. Army and subsequently worked for many years for the Harlan E. Moore Companies as an accountant. Mr. Fosnaugh was a 50-year member of the Valley of Danville Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Danville, Ill.
