Villa Grove, Il. – William D. Huber, 76, of Villa Grove died at 1:24 p.m. Thursday (March 1, 2012) at his home in Villa Grove. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, at the Villa Grove United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Nicholas Showalter officiating. There will be no visitation; the family will receive guests in the New Life Center at the church following the service. There will be a private family burial in the Murdock Cemetery later. Mr. Huber was born Aug. 4, 1935, in Murdock, a son of Charles F. and Daisy (Phipps) Huber. He is survived by one son, Charles W. Huber of Decatur; three daughters, Laura Boswell of Scottsburg, Ind., Lisa Tibbetts of Villa Grove and Peggy Mixell of Villa Grove; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one sister, Janie McGee of Dyer, Ind. Mr. Huber was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one daughter. Mr. Huber was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of Villa Grove Masonic Lodge No. 885 and he along with his brother ran a bulldozing service that their father had started. Memorials may be made to an organization of the donor's choice.
