Born Sept. 9, 1934, in Danville, he was the son of Ray and Edith Price. He was married to Janet Dolbee in 1981, and she preceded him in death. He later married Gwen Moreland, and she survives in Ridge Farm.
Also surviving are a son, Jeffrey Price of Auburn, Ind., and his partner, Tabitha Cummins; a daughter, Darcy (Niles) Vance of Kendallville, Ind.; his twin brother, Gene (Shirley) Price of Danville; two stepchildren, Kary (Donna) Dolbee of Evansville, Ind., and Lisa (Charlie) Cinq-Mars of Spokane, Wash.; 10 grandchildren, Matthew Vance of Fort Wayne, Ind., Sara Vance of Omaha, Neb., Ryan Price of Auburn, Ind., Tylor and Kyle Price of Phoenix, Ariz., Nathan Dolbee of Austin, Texas, Victoria (Aaron) Milanowski of Evansville, Ind., and Jean-Luc, Kira-J and Jonathan Cinq-Mars of Spokane, Wash.; and two great-grandchildren, Chase and Logan Milanowski of Evansville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Roland, Walter and Allen Price; and two sisters, Betty Keen and Vera Talbert.
Mr. Price was a U.S. Navy veteran. He worked for several years as an electrician for the Caterpillar Corporation in Montgomery and was later employed for more than 30 years as a union electrician with IBEW Local 538.
Jerry was an avid gardener, golfer, bowler and fisherman and a lifelong Cubs fan and an exceptional dancer. Before moving to Laurie on the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, Mr. Price was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Danville. In Laurie, he was a past officer of the Osage Community Elks Lodge 2705.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Wolf Creek Golf Club, 2521 Perrysville Road, Danville.
