Private family graveside services will be held at the Tuscola Township Cemetery with military graveside rites accorded. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 S. Main St., Tuscola, is handling the arrangements.
Don was born on Feb. 29, 1928, at rural Hindsboro, the son of Leonard L. Walker and Pearl Behl Parrish. He married Cloe Headrick on May 29, 1948. She survives.
Also surviving are his son, Donald E. Walker Jr., and wife Kim of rural Tuscola; and his sister, Norma Jean Binager of DeWitt, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Linda Sue Walker; and a brother, Bernard Behl.
Don worked as a machinist at the USI Quantum Chemical Co. in Tuscola, retiring in 1990 after 36 years of service. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Don was a 50-year member of the Tuscola Masonic Lodge 332, AF & AM, and a member of the Douglas County Museum Association.
Don enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and being with his family.
