HOOPESTON – Fred C. Siville, 77, of Hoopeston died at 5 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 12, 2011) at the Hoopeston Community Memorial Nursing Home.
Born March 1, 1933, at Paxton, he was the son of Francis K. and Elma E. (Lackey) Siville.
He is survived by two sisters, Evelyn Cronkhite of Checotah, Okla., and Ruth Drollinger of Hoopeston; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers, Willard, Kenneth, Raymond, Leroy, Glen and Robert.
Fred served in the U.S. Army during The Korean War.
He received an Associate's Degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
Fred retired from Caterpillar Company after working in the Aurora for many years.
He was a member of the American Legion, AMVETS, Moose Lodge, Life Member of Aurora Masonic Lodge 254 in Oswego, and had been involved with the Boy Scouts of America.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Siville will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Floral Hill Cemetery at Hoopeston. Steve Unger will officiate. Military rites will be accorded by the Hoopeston American Legion and the VFW Color Guards. There will be no visitation.
